Working
with Scio
Obviously
every business and every project is different but our
principles remain the same throughout and this drives
the process that we follow.
Initial
Meeting
First
we will come to see you for an hour or so to ensure
that we want to work with each other and that there
is something that we can do for you.
Proposal
We
will then come back with a written proposal. This may
suggest that we cannot do anything and suggest where
you can get help. Scio have a vast network that we will
use to help you. In the long run, we hope that you will
value this and one day come back to us but we are not
so proud that we think we know everything.
Where
possible, the proposal will be broken down into stages.
These will be individually priced. Only the first stage
will have a firm price. At the end of each stage, we
will review the work done with you and look at the next
stage. We may well revise the subsequent activity. We
will provide a written report of this meeting and revised
figures.
We
do it like this because the work done and results of
each stage will almost certainly change the scope of
work for the next stage. Most importantly, you stay
in control of the work programme and the money.
Using
this approach means that there is always the option
to withdraw at the end of each stage and we are only
doing work that is worthwhile and relevant.
Execution
We
do the work and deliver in a manner that is comprehensible.
The format will vary depending on the nature of the
work and your requirements.
Invoicing
Yes,
we do like to get paid. We invoice at the end of each
stage and expect to get paid within 30 days of the invoice
date.
PHILOSOPHY
: Keeping it Simple
We
like cliches and analogies. These make understanding
better. If we talk gobbledygook, both parties will get
upset and key points may be missed. We do do some clever
stuff, that's why we are here, but we make sure that
the hard stuff is explained in English when you need
to know.
